This component is an exterior automotive door handle lever with a first class chrome plated surface finish.

It is used in only the top of the range models and the slightest blemish on the surface would be unacceptable.

The part is produced in a single cavity die on a 100 Ton Die Casting machine in a 15 second cycle.

A Series 12 HotFlo! system feeds a circular runner system into two tapered tangential runners with a gate depth of 0.5mm.

The die produces plating quality parts as soon as it is up to temperature.

There are no overflows used in this die.

The use of insulation plates, air gaps around the cavity insert, thermocouple control of water cooling and a Series 12 HotFlo! sprue ensures proper thermal control of the die.

There is virtually no flash on the parts, and they can be broken from the runner system by hand, ready for polishing.

There is no wasted sprue metal, and the runner system is far smaller than could ever be achieved with traditional designs.
