Clamping Ring

Retains the Hot Sprue Bush in the die and provides a datum point for location of the die in the platens. The platen location diameter varies widely from machine to machine so the ring supplied by HotFlo! is the smallest expected. Customers can then turn up a spacer ring to fit each machine.

Adjusting Ring

Enables the parting line alignment of the hot sprue bush to be adjusted for slight differences in die thickness.

Heater Element

This is a special high performance element suitable for operating at the elevated temperatures and conditions inside the die. Requires from 220 to 240 Volts AC, single phase.

Sprue Tip

The sprue tip is available in either a Mono or Duo version, referring to the number of runners. It fits precisely to the mating part on the Sprue Bush. The larger sizes have internal water cooling channels and provision for fitting a thermocouple.

Sprue Bush

The sprue bush can also be ordered as a spare part, in either a Mono or Duo version to fit the mating Sprue Tip.

Thermocouple

These are standard K-type thermocouples which measures the internal temperature of the hot sprue bush.

They can also be used in the sprue tip to sense the temperature near the water cooling channels, and ensure a clean freeze-off at the tip.
