Die Plug, 4-Zone
This
plug is mounted to the die, and the wires from the thermocouples and heater
elements are connected into the screw connections in the base. This ensures
that all these wires remain confined to channels inside the die block and
cannot be damaged.
Features a metal base and
cover, a dust seal around the edge and another underneath to keep oil and die
lube out while in use. When the die is stored, the cover can be closed with the
spring loaded hinge keeping the connections clean and ready for the next
production run.

Die Plug, 1-Zone
This
plug is used with the 1-Zone Temperature Controller. The metal cover with
in-built dust seal can be closed tightly when the die is in storage. These
high quality die plugs are essential for reliable die operation.

Mounting Blocks
It is
a good practice to attach the Die Plug to the die using a Mounting Block as
shown here. It provides a solid, sealed structure to support the plug and makes
plugging and unplugging easier.
The Mounting
Block provides valuable space to terminate the wires from the thermocouples and
heater elements within the die. Without the use of a Mounting Block, it will be
necessary to machine a rectangular hole in the die block to hold these wires.
To create even more space, you can use two
Mounting Blocks on top of each other as shown.
All Mounting Blocks are 50mm high, machined from non-rusting
aluminium. |
