Step 1: Select the Correct HotFlo! SeriesThe HotFlo! Series number refers to the diameter of the corresponding machine nozzle in millimetres. This defines the upper limit of the casting which can be produced. There are three ways by which you can select the HotFlo! Series which best suits your requirements : -
Step 2 : Specify the style of sprue tip and number of runnersThere are three types of sprue tip available : single runner (Mono), two runners (Duo) and one for directing metal into a runner machined into two moving slides (Tubular). See: Sprue Tip Styles Step 3 : Select the Sprue Bush lengthEach HotFlo! Series is available in three standard lengths, and there are a number of ways that they can be fitted to the die. See below: You should always try to use a standard HotFlo! product because it will make maintenance easier, quicker and lower cost. However, if the standard dimensions do not suit, HotFlo! can make a special version to meet your requirements. |
