If the standard Hot Sprue Kits and components do not suit a particular die, HotFlo! can design and make a special version to meet your requirements.

This includes non-standard lengths and channel diameters, special tip shapes as well as non-circular runners and break-off zones.

Special Runner Diameters

The diameters of the feed channel at the point where the runners join to the hot sprue bush can be made as a special size. This is the easiest design change to make.

Non-circular Runners

If your application does not suit a circular runner shape we can machine a trapezoidal or other shaped runner. Runners machined into only one half of the die are also possible.

Non-Standard Die Thickness

If you specify a different die thickness from the standards, a special heater element will have to be made. In this case we recommend that you order an extra heater element so you have a spare one on hand.

Non-Standard Bush Diameter

A non-standard sprue bush diameter is possible, however this will also require a special heater element to be made.

Special Tip Shapes

For very specialised applications, such as runners into die parting faces and moving slides, into cored holes and core pins, and rectangular and trapeziodal shapes, HotFlo! can provide a custom made solution.
