There are three different tip styles available with standard HotFlo! sprues.
Mono Tip StyleA Mono tip style is used to join a HotFlo! sprue to a single runner at the parting face. It can be mounted in any orientation in the die. The area of the feed channel reduces continuously around the bend for optimum metal flow. |

Duo Tip StyleA duo tip style is used to join a HotFlo! sprue to two opposing runners at the parting face. It can be mounted in any orientation in the die. The area of the feed channel reduces continuously around both bends for optimum metal flow. |

Tubular Tip StyleThis style of tip can be used in a number of applications, but the most common is to feed metal into a runner system cut into the parting faces of two moving slides. By this technique the runner length and mass is greatly reduced. There is no Sprue Tip on the moving die-half since the runner is cut directly into the moving slides. Contact HotFlo! for further information on this style of hot sprue and its applications. |
